Hello, I'm back to blogging! Have been either busy or lazy to do it since my summer break!
So, life has not been too unexpected, the same busy life back on campus. A typical boring engineering kid's life. :P While I think I should participate in more clubs and perhaps even find a job, none of these seem to come through. I am actually happy with having some personal time to myself. Be it just lazing around, or watch dramas and stuff. Haha, sometimes I wonder if I am really getting old, somehow my level of energy for other people seems to have diminished. Now, I like to have a simple, less-packed life, leaving some time for me to "nuah". Maybe the past few years have already drained off my energy reserves. :P
Then here comes another viewpoint on "maximizing my college life". Especially given that I am already in the U.S., it would be good to work with both Americans and possibly other international students on various projects and/or activities.
Anyway, i have moved into an apartment with 3 other girls. It has really been a good learning, and tiring, experience. Life is no longer so simple, as you have about 5 different bills to pay, do your own groceries almost weekly, cook and WASH your own dishes, my number 1 hated chore. Almost all the time, I would be the one cooking, and my roommates would wash, but the downside of this is that cooking takes up way too much of my time. So it's either I wash, which takes up less time but i don't like doing, or i cook, something I like, but simply too time-consuming. Furthermore, I realised it's not much cheaper to stay in the apartment afterall, and there is definitely way less social life with other people. Therefore, my verdict: I am going to move back into the dorm next academic year.

updates!
Heyo people, know that my frequency of blogging has decreased drastically since the time I was back. Everytime I look at the date recently, I cannot help but lament on how soon I need to go back. :( My internship will end this coming Tuesday, which frankly I am looking forward to its end. It is not so much of me not enjoying myself there, but I see the need to catch up with as many peopl as possible before I fly again. Internship takes away a good half of my day, which happens to be the precious part of the day which is good for me to meet people and do crazy things. =P
Just to share abit more about my internship. It is a period of my life which I experienced alot of my first-times. I learnt how to write in a civil service language; got so close to catching H1N1 and to miss the climax of my internship, which is APEC; made many new friends when 8 interns were cramped into one room-the companionship is awesome(!); impressed by my fellow interns who are all so mature for their ages, etc etc.
Pardon me if i sound like a kid here. :) I am really happy today! It's been 3 weeks since I last went to church, due to 2 University fairs I was involved the previous 2 weeks. First, we had a celebration party; followed by an awesome "Girls' sharing" with my church friends. And lastly, we are going to have a family dinner, aside from a sumptuous feast whipped out by my mum, two of my brothers' girlfriends are coming too!! YAY!!! =) Haha, felt that I was quite kiddish, easily "coaxed" by companionship. I suppose that's me, I do not need a ton of money, just spend time talking to me and I will be happy! :)
Nothing new, it would be painful to leave Singapore again this time round. Maybe it's even more painful this time as there are more strings attached now, especially after the internship. Coming back this summer has also given more opportunities to have deeper sharings with my family and friends. It is certainly something I would miss greatly when I leave. Such tearing aparts would not end for the next few years, and they are certainly taking a toil on me. I remember I was sad to leave my school in May because I would miss the company and life I have there. And now that I'm here, I would be sad to leave as well. Knowing and making good friends wherever I go seem to be a good thing at first thought, but the downside could well possibly make me more emotionally attached to a place. Nonetheless, I do not regret knowing them, of course. I could only lament on how little time I have for everyone. Now that I only have about 2 weeks left, I need to plan my time such that I get to meet everyone at least once before I leave. :(

Swined!! Almost..
I have not been blogging ever since I have started working, mostly because I tend to hang out late into the night as well, as was totally zonked out by the time I reach home. So life becomes very much rountined, work, play, sleep. And amazingly, one month has passed! So, why the special appearance today, a Tuesday night?
Today, at abt 10am, my friend dropped a bombshell. He got swine flu! All 8 interns were housed in this room, and ever since he went for MC on friday, 4 other interns (including myself), showed similar symptoms such as sore throat, cough, flu and fever. So, once the higher officials got to know this, we were given masks to put on, and sent home right away. The room was cleaned thoroughly and locked up, until we get the clearance to go back.
Out of the 8, 4 of us are doing APEC, which is happening like in TWO days' time. THere's still lots of things to settle, and plus minus 4 people make a great difference. But at the looks of it now ( which I shan't elaborate here), I'm quite hopeful all of us can attend the event.
Anw, I went for a test and was proven negative. So, YAY!! :) I can be down for APEC, and hopefully I am fully recovered by then!

Lazy Clarissa..
Frankly, I've been really busy and lazy these few days. Yes, if you've realized I either take a good 24hrs and/or didn't even reply to your sms/face book messages/ offline messages.
First of all, I would really like to thank all of you who have blessed me with birthday messages in any form. I wanted to have a customized reply for each individual, but I did not manage to do so for everyone by the end of the day as I have to attend meetings and a dinner at night. And I literally was knocked out unknowingly while charging my phone, however ridiculous it might sound.
I was really shocked when I looked through my calendar earlier. It made me feel that my stay here is short, despite the fact that it seems to be a long three months. As of now, all my weekends are packed, all the way to the day I'm leaving for the States, with the exception of the second week of July. My first reaction was like "What??!!! That's it for my summer break?!!"
Sometimes, I do feel like going back to the US to experience the slower pace of life. Over here, things are happening way too fast that I need a breather. This by no means mean that I am not enjoying my life here. In fact, it is exactly the opposite. I am loving every second and minute of my life in Singapore thus far. In the office, I am learning new things, doing things I love. Out of office, I am spending time with family and friends. Life is really awesome! But I guess it is just normal to want to laze in the house, doing nothing. So far, I have about one/two nights to myself, which is my precious nuah-ing time. :)
Since the day I am back, I have been spending the bulk of time my talking. Haha, in case you do not know, talking is my favourite activity, and I can go on like a machine gun, forgetting totally all about time once I start talking. And one very important lesson I need to learn is the skill to check the time and stop talking when it is time to go. I really have to apologize for being late at times because I overshot the time. I have the habit of "throwing away my handphone and watch" once I start talking, so please remind me at times.
